Biography

Franca studied physics at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and worked as student assistant in the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology in Aachen. In 2021, she joined the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine at Research Center Jülich (Germany). The aim of her PhD thesis is the development of a scattering polarimeter which combines polarized and scattered light imaging in one imaging system. She also works on the further development of computational scattered light imaging, speeding up the measurement using compressed sensing and enabling measurements of histological (FFPE) brain slides with different stains.
