Biography

Rens started the Bachelor Applied Physics at the TU Delft (Netherlands) in 2021 and received his Bachelor’s degree in 2024. He also followed a minor in Computer Science at the TU Delft. He completed his Bachelor thesis project at the Delft Center for Systems and Control where he designed an optical setup for an optoelectronic tweezer.

In 2024, Rens started the Master Applied Physics at the TU Delft where he focused on physics for instrumentation with a particular interest in optics. In September 2025, he joined the Menzel lab for a Master thesis project where he will be working on enabling collagen-specific computational scattered light imaging.
