DFG Research Grant
September 28, 2022: We received a 235 k€ Research Grant from the Deutsche Forschungs-Gemeinschaft (DFG).
The funded project aims at developing a high-throughput Scattering Polarimeter for studying the connectivity of whole brain volumes.
Delft Technology Fellowship
May 31, 2022: Miriam Menzel received the Delft Technology Fellowship to establish her own research program at TU Delft.
The Delft Technology Fellowship offers high-profile, tenure-track positions to outstanding female academic researchers in research themes in which the faculties of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) want to be strengthened.
New PhD Student
January 1, 2022: Franca auf der Heiden has started her PhD thesis. She will develop a scattering polarimeter to combine polarized and scattered light imaging in one imaging system.
Franca studied physics at RWTH Aachen university and already wrote her Master’s thesis under Miriam’s supervision.
Klaus Tschira Boost Fund
May 4, 2021: Miriam Menzel received the Klaus Tschira Boost Fund of the German Scholars Organization. The funding will support the development of a scattering polarimeter to combine polarized and scattered light imaging of brain tissue in a single system.
